Frequently Asked Questions.
Do you accept insurance?
I am an out-of-network provider, which means I do not bill insurance companies directly. However, I can provide you with a superbill—an itemized receipt you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. I recommend checking with your insurance provider to understand your out-of-network mental health benefits.
What is a superbill and how do I use it?
A superbill is a document that includes the necessary details for your insurance company to consider reimbursement (e.g., session dates, diagnosis codes, fees). You can submit this directly to your insurance provider if your plan includes out-of-network benefits.
How much do sessions cost?
My fee is $175 for individual sessions, and $200 for couples sessions per 50-minutes. Payment is due at the time of service. I accept credit/debit cards, HSA/FSA. If cost is a concern, please feel free to reach out—we can explore whether we’re a good fit or discuss other options.
What does the therapy process look like?
We typically begin with weekly sessions to build momentum and address your concerns consistently. As we progress, we’ll reassess your needs together and adjust the frequency based on your goals and preferences. Some clients move to bi-weekly or monthly sessions as they begin to feel more confident and supported. The length of therapy varies—some clients find a few months helpful, while others choose to continue longer-term.
What can I expect in the first session?
The first session is a space to get to know each other. We’ll discuss what brings you to therapy, review your history, clarify your goals, and ensure you feel comfortable with the process. It’s also a time for you to ask any questions.
What does culturally responsive therapy mean?
Culturally responsive therapy means I take into account the full context of your identity—your culture, race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, family background, religion, and other lived experiences. This approach isn't just for people from historically marginalized groups—This approach is designed to support people of all backgrounds.
We all carry cultural stories and values that shape how we experience the world, relationships, and ourselves. My goal is to create a space where you feel seen, respected, and understood, no matter your background
